The
Challenge

A creative project that combines GenAI with storytelling. A compilation of micro-stories for a future that is not that far.

A reporter sent to the near future compiles photographies and conversations with different characters, building pieces of a broader picture that talks about social inequality, tenderness, and what would happen if what makes us human is also adopted by machines.

Text by Víctor Velasco 'Wiktor' - chief editor of CreatIvA Magazine
"What if...?" is the spark that ignites the machine of the imaginary.

With AI as her first interlocutor—a fascinating and deceptive tool at the same time—Sara explores possible futures, but not from the grandiloquence of distant worlds or metallic utopias. There are no neon lights or interstellar cities here. What we find is an everyday scenario that is cracking: a girl who has never seen a flower, a young man who dreams of the 50th floor, an AI who prays, a roulette wheel that dispenses water, an algorithm that rejects applications. The result is a collection of 10 independent and simultaneous stories, as if it were a visual interpretation of Rúnarsson's Once Upon a Time in Christmas. There, as here, everything happens at once, but in different places, a possible story, in, 'Vertical', 'Because despite all, I still exist', 'Artificial Religion', 'Betting House'... each title captures an entire world. Sara doesn't just imagine, she constructs. She doesn't just describe, she questions.

STORY #5

85% of respondents find it «disturbing or uncomfortable» that their home AIs disconnect for five minutes a day to pray. 90% indicate they would like to be able to schedule these disconnections during less productive times of the day.

STORY #8

Beasttoo: show your animal spirit. We tell you all about the «new tattoos.» 100% synthetic and free of animal suffering, pop stars continue to embrace this new aesthetic procedure that has leapt from the catwalks to the stage.
